Tiggy and Emma are delighted to be invited, once again, to deliver a seminar on recent developments in employment law at Castle Employment’s next CIPD event at GCHQ, Scarborough.
After a brief insight into the workings at GCHQ – known locally as “The Wireless Station“- Tiggy and Emma will guide delegates through the key employment law changes in the past 6 months as well as some horizon-scanning for what business leaders and HR professionals can expect coming down the track.
Tiggy and Emma are excited to share the stage with Paul Shaw, recently Head of Performance for the England Women’s Cricket Team, who will deliver an interactive session on leadership.
There will also be opportunities available to take a tour of GCHQ ‘Y’ Service Museum, not normally open to the public.
12.00pm – 12.30pm: Arrival, Registration, Buffet Lunch and Networking
* Please note due to the security clearance required to enter the site you should plan to arrive no later than 11.45am.
12.30pm – 1.00pm: Tour of the GCHQ Museum (For the first 25 attendees)
1.00pm – 1.30pm: Welcome and introduction to GCHQ
1.30pm – 2.30pm: – Employment Law Update 2017- Tiggy and Emma will look back over the past 6 months and share their thoughts on key changes in areas of employment status, holiday pay, family-friendly rights, Tribunal fees to name a few, as well as giving their take on the most significant developments on the horizon which you and your business will need to prepare for.
2.30pm – 2.45pm: – Refreshment Break
2.45pm – 3.15pm: – Paul Shaw – Inside Leadership. Paul, whose career to date includes “Head of Performance” with the England Women’s Cricket Team joins us to share his expertise on “Creating High Performing Cultures” within the workplace. He will share lots of strategies in overcoming challenges and on how to achieve sustainable success during his 30-minute interactive session on leadership.
3.15pm – 4.00pm: Tour of the GCHQ Museum (For the second 25 attendees)
To enter the GCHQ site you will need to bring your Passport or Driving (photo) licence or Military ID. Any form of ID must be in date and original copies only. In the event of no photo ID, a birth certificate with a recent (within the last three months) utility bill will suffice . UK nationals only permitted on-site.
For security reasons GCHQ, Scarborough does not allow visitors to move around their site unattended therefore please be prompt in arriving leaving yourself enough time to clear security at the beginning of the event. You will not be able to leave the site until the earliest 3.15pm unless of, course an emergency occurs.
