Employment Rights Act Update 2027

The Employment Rights Act 2025 is introducing significant changes to employment law.

To enable employers to plan ahead, the Torque Law team will take a focussed look at those changes and the steps which employers can be taking to best prepare their organisations and management.

The topics for discussion will be finalised nearer the time but will centre around the practical implications of all the recent legislative changes.

Mock Employment Tribunal at The Guildhall, York

Join us for a half-day Mock Employment Tribunal experience on Thursday 8 October 2026.

The event will take place at The Guildhall in York, situated on the River Ouse behind the Mansion House. Based on a fictional scenario, this half-day mock tribunal will be heard in the impressive Victorian Council Chamber. Soak up the historical atmosphere whilst gaining an invaluable experience of how a Tribunal operates without the cost, preparation and stress associated with a real claim.

The hearing will be conducted by barristers, with extensive experience of proceedings, alongside team Torque and will provide a great opportunity to see how the decisions you make in the workplace play out at a hearing.

Whilst this event is designed for employers and HR professionals, attendance would benefit anyone with line-management responsibilities.

Delegates will have the opportunity to:

learn how a hearing work
see how to put a case across effectively
experience cross examination of witnesses
understand the importance of proper preparation
observe common and avoidable pitfalls
hear the Judgment be delivered live on the day
