Neurodiversity: a new way of thinking to deliver a competitive advantage for your business
You don’t have to be in a specific place, work in a specific sector or even work for a large organisation to harness the positive business benefits that can flow from being or becoming a neuro-savvy employer. Research show that neurodiverse teams are more productive, more engaged and with an ever-shrinking talent pool from which to select new and prospective employees, it is those businesses which promote inclusion and are more neurodiverse which will flourish in the race for new recruits.
Recognising that everyone’s brains work differently, and that you have a neurodiverse workforce already, is the first step along this road. This lively and interactive workshop, complete with virtual reality experience, will shine a light on common ‘hidden’ disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia, both diagnosed and undiagnosed, and the business case for positively promoting and embracing a more neurodiverse workforce. We will share practical examples and case studies gleaned from our work for organisations already in this space of the positive steps and accommodations which can make the biggest difference. We will also take a look at the common barriers to change (e.g. cost, time) and how best to manage effectively the legal risks under the Equality Act 2010. Delegates will leave with the tools to manage and embrace neurodiversity in the workplace more confidently.
Aimed at Business owners, Directors, HR, Department /Team heads with any level of people responsibility and/or an interest in diversity and inclusion
