Meet the team: Introducing Ellie Addinall

Our meet the team series continues as we introduce Ellie Addinall, our employment law paralegal

What is your elevator speech? Introduce yourself and your part in Team Torque.

After graduating from the University of Leeds in 2020 with an LLB degree I have since joined Torque Law as an employment paralegal. My role includes assisting with client workload and related administration including legal research, client support and providing both marketing and office assistance

Who/what inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

I firstly chose to study Law at A-Level as I enjoyed watching crime dramas and forensic science series and so I thought it would be a subject that I would find interesting. However, it wasn’t until I started babysitting for a family in the village I am from that I met a lawyer for the first time. This lady, who is now a good friend, is a partner at a local firm, and she taught me more about the profession and offered me work experience so I could gain an insight into the day-to-day life of a solicitor. After gaining this experience and enjoying studying Law at A-Level, I then decided to study Law at University. Here, I undertook a large variety of  different work experience all of which reinforced my interest in pursuing a career as a solicitor.

What energises you at work?

I am most energised when working in a fast paced and challenging environment where I am continuously developing my skills and learning new ones. It is also very motivating to do so within a team of people who share my values and have made me feel so welcome within the short period of time I have worked at Torque Law.

What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?

On a weekend you would most likely find me in the gym, on a run in the countryside or having fun with my friends and family.

Do you have a favourite quote?
