Celebrating a year of growth and success at Torque Law LLP

Over the past year, our dedication to delivering expert, client-focused employment law advice has led to some incredible milestones. We’re taking a moment to reflect on our achievements as the financial year draws to a close and we plan our strategy for the year ahead.

We’ve celebrated some top-notch accolades this year, including:

• being named a top 250 law firm on the Times Best Law Firm List 2025, alongside large international law firms, and ranked among the UK’s top 38 employment law firms;
• winning the Niche Law Firm of the Year Award at the Yorkshire Legal Awards;
• being awarded a rare 5-Star Client Satisfaction badge by the Legal500 in recognition our consistently exceptional client survey results, over an 8-year period; and
• maintaining our Band 1, top tier, ranking in Chambers & Partners for both our firm and our Partners, reinforcing our position as a leading specialist firm.

But that’s not all – we’ve also:

• received well over 500 new instructions from our impressive roster of household name clients;
• successfully defended more than 30 Employment Tribunal cases, helping our client organisations navigate complex workplace issues, financial and reputational risks;
• acquired and retained a number of high-profile clients previously represented by magic and silver circle firms, carving out a significant place in the market;
• achieved a 15% increase in turnover;
• expanded our team, welcoming more top talent to strengthen our expertise and infrastructure; and
• began discussions about our new, larger, office space in readiness for further recruitment in 2025. This will be the second office expansion in two years – to ensure we are able to meet increasing demand for our services and keep up with our organic, referral driven, growth.
